Security in Glendale: Key Trends

Glendale is one of Arizona’s largest and fastest-growing cities. With 260,000 residents and an estimated 15 million annual visitors drawn to State Farm Stadium and nearby hotspots, we’re expecting more activity in the years ahead.

With that scale comes a more complex security environment. According to the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority (AATA), the city recorded 737 vehicle thefts in 2025 (third highest in Arizona). That is over two stolen vehicles every day and Glendale’s property crime rate remains well above national averages.

For business owners and property managers, those numbers point to one thing, you need to invest in robust private security in Glendale, because a safe environment gets you more business.

How We Train Our Security Guards to Be the Best

The difference between a guard and a real security officer comes down to training.

At Covey, every officer we assign in Glendale has been put through hands-on preparation built around the situations they’ll actually face. Not slideshows, not checklists, not theory.

What sets our training apart:

Field-Tested Drills: Officers learn by doing. We run scenario-based exercises that mirror real conditions on the properties they’ll protect, so they’re not learning on your dime.
Smart Use of Tech: Body cameras, reporting tools, and patrol systems are part of the job, but they don’t replace judgment. You get clear documentation and a team that knows when to act.
Continuous Refreshers: Skills fade without practice. Our team runs scheduled drills and check-ins to keep every officer sharp long after their initial training.
CPI-Certified De-Escalation Training: Every Covey officer is certified to defuse tense encounters before they escalate. This protects your people, your customers, and your reputation.
Emergency Response Certifications: CPR, AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen, Workplace Violence, and Active Shooter response—because when seconds matter, hesitation isn’t an option.
